Donna Druchunas: Goddess Knits
Local knitter, author, and artist Donna Druchunas will discuss her self-published book, Goddess Knits, which pairs stories of goddesses from Baltic and Celtic traditions with knitting patterns inspired by those figures. This beautiful book is in full color, with Donna's paintings of the goddesses, and photographs of each finished knit. The goddess stories take the reader on a journey through the wheel of the year, and the accompanying knitting designs are created for knitters from beginner to advanced.

Donna Druchunas started her career as a technical writer and carried that experience with her into the world of knitting, writing patterns and books for fellow knitters. Many of her designs have been inspired by her travels in northern Europe; she has also published a bestselling book called Arctic Lace, which is about a knitting co-op in Alaska. She regularly offers knitting workshops online. Donna lives in the Northeast Kingdom with her husband and runs the website sheeptoshawl.com, which is chock full of information about knitting and other fiber arts.
